The responsibility of this position is to manage and provide leadership around company’s global network infrastructure components from initial design to implementing and deploying standard infrastructure solutions in support of business requirements. The role will oversee a team of infrastructure service SME’s in achieving this objective. This position will also provide end resolution support to all escalated issues from the Operations tier.

The position will provide business analysis leadership and guidance to support different Enterprise Solutions initiatives and projects. The Business Analyst will be responsible for base lining existing processes and identifying key pain points which enhance the workflow, create efficiency increases, result in cost saving, and in general drive a broader awareness for improvement. The individual will be responsible for working with the business to optimize and implement new functionality for the Business Systems. Position will interact with small teams of contractors or full time development staff on projects and contribute towards project deliverables and business requirements. Position involves significant interaction with a diverse user base of back office and front office professionals.

Sr. Desktop Engineer - Arlington,VA -$75-80k+ 25% bonus target

Summary: Company is looking for a world-class senior IT support professional to join our team in Arlington. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high touch support environment where superior technical and customer handling skills, initiative, creativity, commitment to excellence and a professional demeanor are critical. Candidate will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on desktop hardware, software, collaboration and mobility technologies, assist in the creation and deployment of image loads, as well as serve as a Tier 3 escalation to help resolve complex end user issues. Candidate will also help research, define, test and deploy future state desktop, collaboration and mobile technologies “roadmap”. Candidate will lead projects to research, test, QA, integrate and deploy Windows 7, Office 2007/2010.

Provides expert technical leadership and support on existing supported technologies
Researches, defines, tests and deploys future state desktop, collaboration and mobile technologies that improve customer experience and productivity - products, services, processes and strategies
Analyzes and evaluates new desktop technologies, and works across teams to determine how integration with current systems will be affected or enhanced, including impact on network and applications architecture
Leads projects and matrixed teams to onboard technologies - ensuring stakeholder, technical, functional, testing, QA and budget requirements are met
Develops standards, processes and procedures and ensures compliance with our existing standards
Researches technical options and recommends the best solutions in accordance with company standards
Builds, maintains and integrates image loads into production environment
Trains all levels of IT Support staff in both formal and informal sessions on the use of current and future supported products, services, and processes
Provides technical support and guidance to other locations and technology initiatives as required
Establishes and maintains productive relationships with our technology partners
Coordinates escalated trouble calls and acts as vendor liaison in communicating problems and obtaining solutions
Keep current on technological trends through training, participation in seminars, industry literature readings, and product information

Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will be a SME in the following application and support areas:

Lenovo, Dell PC laptop and desktop hardware setup, configuration, and diagnostics
MS Windows XP and Windows 7 operating system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
MS Office 2003 and 2007 installation, configuration and troubleshooting
MS Outlook email, calendaring, contacts and tasks configuration and troubleshooting
Thorough knowledge of Active Directory and group policies
Smartphone installation, setup, activation, configuration and troubleshooting. Blackberry, Windows Mobile devices, Apple iPhone. Syncing between computer and PDA of Outlook email, calendar, contacts and tasks.
Thorough understanding of Blackberry and MS Exchange/Outlook environments and best practices.
Supporting and troubleshooting WAN/LAN technologies and devices including TCP/IP, LAN switches, 802.11 wireless, wireless card, Windows NOS, Active Directory, backup configuration and restore.
Strong experience with creating and deploying software packages using LANDesk or similar package for software distribution, asset management and inventory, remote troubleshooting and associated processes.
Experience with HP Openview Service Desk or similar call/incident management tool
Ability to define and document processes and procedures as required

Additional Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years experience in IT desktop support and engineering with exemplary customer service skills in a fast-paced, high-touch environment.
Microsoft certifications preferred
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and effectively with staff and customers at all levels.
Excellent research, writing and project management skills.
High level of problem solving skills and analytical ability to quickly isolate and resolve complex end user computer related problems.

Multiple openings with a Big4 consulting firm that is seeking individuals with strong information security backgrounds and a desire to contribute to advisory engagements for Federal Government clients. Our federal practice advisory professionals routinely assist clients in integrating business operations, enhancing performance, improving management and control, addressing crises and threats, and restructuring business operations.

A successful candidate will understand federal security standards (NIST, DISA, etc.) and have experience applying these information security principles to enterprise applications, operating systems, and networks. Sample activities include the following:
